Competitive Programs and Teams

Jerusalem Marlins Club aims to help water polo players throughout Palestine County acquire the necessary skills to be successful throughout their water polo careers and beyond. We believe in providing our players with a quality water polo experience, in a positive and competitive environment.

Competitive Teams (12u/14u/16u/18u)

  • Jerusalem Marlins Club's competitive program includes our 12u/14u/16u/18u teams and is designed for athletes with strong swimming skills, some water polo experience, aiming to compete at an advanced level and excel in water polo.

10 & under Teams

  • Jerusalem Marlins Club’s 10 & under program focuses on mastering fundamental movements and water polo skills while introducing water polo techniques such as attacking and defending.

  • Athletes interested in joining our 10u program should be able to swim 25 Meters of freestyle continuously and be comfortable treading water for extended periods.

  • Like the older age groups, our 10u teams practice and train throughout the year to compete in age-appropriate tournaments that highlight water polo skill development.

Splashball and Transition Group (ages 5-9)

  • Jerusalem Marlins WPC's Splashball and Transition Group are intended for swimmers who are already comfortable in the water and can swim at least 25 Meters across the pool.

  • Our Splashball program is designed to introduce the sport of water polo to children 5-9 years old by teaching basic water polo skills in a fun and recreational format.

  • The Transition Group program focuses on teaching the various strokes and techniques of swimming, such as freestyle with side breathing, backstroke, breast stroke and dolphin kicks.

  • The recommended skills needed before joining either Splashball or Transition Group are as follows: participants must be able to swim at least 25 Meters freestyle/front crawl stroke with side breathing, be able to backstroke 25 Meters, or have the ability to kick on their backs in a floating position.
